COLD WEATHER, WARM QUILTS: JOIN OUR QUILTING BEE!

As the days get cooler, let's come together to warm hearts and hands through the beautiful tradition of quilting. For over 33 years, the Women’s Circle of Friends has gathered to create baby quilts, spreading love and comfort to those in need. This year, we’ll continue this meaningful work by making quilts for Pregnancy Aid in Kent and St. Frances House in Puyallup. Whether you're an experienced quilter or new to sewing, we welcome you to be part of this cherished community effort.

Details:

  • Sunday, November 17, Noon to 5 pm

  • Monday, November 18, 4 pm to 8 pm

  • Location: Wesley Hall at The Spire

What to Bring:

  • If you sew: your sewing machine, scissors, thread, and any favorite tools

  • Any fabric or batting you'd like to share (optional)

  • Snacks to share to help keep us fueled throughout the day

We’ll provide plenty of fabric, batting, irons, and ironing boards, so don’t worry if you don’t have your own materials. All you need to bring is your enthusiasm and a willingness to learn! We have tasks suited for every skill level, and there will be easy-to-follow instructions to guide you.

Can’t Attend In-Person? No problem! We can provide you with a "to-go" bag of quilt sandwiches to work on at home.

Our goal is to create 36 quilts, which will be displayed for a special blessing in the sanctuary throughout December. Coffee and tea will be available, and in the spirit of past years, we may even see a crockpot of soup appear to keep us warm!

Questions? Contact Ginger Landree or Julie Webb, co-leaders of Women’s Circle of Friends or the office at office@unityofsouthsound.org.

Let’s stitch together warmth and love for our community!
