Volunteer at Art on the Ave

Join us on Sunday, August 9, for Art on the Ave—Tacoma’s largest annual art festival celebrating creativity, culture, and community!

Spanning 6th Avenue from Alder Street to State Street, this free, all-day event features:

• 🎶 Live music on multiple stages

• 🎨 Over 200 artists and vendors

• 🍔 Food trucks & beer gardens

• 🧒 A fun kids’ zone

• ✨ And so much more!

Unity of South Sound will be hosting a booth throughout the day and we need your help! Volunteer for a 2-hour shift and then enjoy the rest of the day soaking up art, music, and community connection.

Books for a Good Cause — Book Cabinet Open May 10th!

In support of our Youth & Family Ministry Summer Camp Programs, we're opening the book cabinet with all titles available for a $5 or more donation. Whether you're gifting yourself a good read or picking up something special for someone else, every purchase makes a difference for our youth.

Annual Church Picnic – August 23 at Franklin Park!

Mark your calendar and bring your picnic spirit! Join us for our Annual Church Picnic on Saturday, August 23, immediately following Sunday service, at beautiful Franklin Park.

We’ll enjoy food, fellowship, games, and summer sunshine together—and we’d love your help to make it all happen!

We’re looking for:

• 💪 Volunteers to help with setup and cleanup

• 🚚 One person with a truck to help transport supplies to and from the park

• 🥗 Folks to bring a favorite side dish to share

We are thrilled to announce The Unity Gala 2026: A Night of Sacred Questions – A Time of Reflection, Celebration, and Abundant Giving, on November 14th. We welcome you to be part of this evening inspired by our Fall book study “Ask Yourself This”, that suggests, “To get better answers, we must ask better questions.” Our evening will be a time to gather in candlelight, community and connection to explore sacred questions and raise support for the ministry that helps us live those answers.
