CIRCLE OF FRIENDS Women’s Retreat
Escape to the tranquil embrace of nature at the Gwinwood Retreat Center in Lacey, WA, from Friday, May 31 through Sunday, June 2. Immerse yourself in a weekend of spiritual rejuvenation and creative exploration surrounded by the lush woodlands of the retreat center.
Indulge in shared experiences of friendship, creative expression, and sweet communion as we come together in the spirit of unity, all under the enchanting theme of "Whimsey." Let your imagination soar as we embrace the playful and fanciful, infusing every moment with light-heartedness and joy.
Our esteemed Guest Speaker, Ruth Rodgers, will lead a transformative workshop on meditation, guiding you on a journey of inner peace and self-discovery, all within the whimsical atmosphere of our retreat.

Date & Location: May 31 - June 2, Gwinwood Retreat Center, 6015 30th Ave SE, Lacey, WA.
Schedule: Participants arrive between 4 PM and 5:30 PM for the opening ceremony, followed by dinner at 6 PM.
Cost: $250 inclusive of food, lodging, and activities. Additional $20 for gluten-free, vegan, or non-dairy diets.

Note on Inclusivity: All gender-based groups/events at USS are open to anyone of that gender (cis or trans) and nonbinary people who are comfortable in a context that centers that gender. Our goal is to be welcoming and inclusive of the gender spectrum.

Description: Have you ever wondered what Unity is about, who we are, where we came from and what we believe? This class will answer those questions and more, an opportunity to find out more about Unity, our roots, our basic guiding principles, the importance of being of service to the ministry you are making a commitment to in membership, and an intro into our core teachings of Prosperity and Prayer!
*This is a required class for those interested in becoming a voting member of Unity of South Sound. To become a member please first complete the membership application here or click the button below, and then register to attend this class by filling out the form below.
Our next new membership installation ceremony will be held Sunday, February 25, 2024. New Members will be officially eligible to vote that afternoon at the Annual Meeting, following service. If you would like to have a vote for new Board members or have a voice in the enfoldment of this ministry, becoming a member is important for your discernments to be counted.
EVERYONE is welcome to attend - A Member looking for a refresher, Those wishing to become a voting member, or anyone who is just curious.

Eight-year-old Melinda Carson hopes to keep herself awake until the wee hours of the morning on December 25 to make sure that she sees Santa. She's waited every year, but this year she makes it! Santa's arrival is witnessed! And furthermore, she gets to talk with Santa himself! And that's when things get interesting. For among the things the two discuss is Melinda's unexpected question: "Who is your God?" She tells of the classmates at her school, some of whom pray to Allah, some to Jehovah, some to The Lord, some to Yahweh, some to Krishna . . . and she asks, "Santa, which God do you pray to? Which God is the real God?" Santa's answer brings the world a message that will warm the heart of every person who hears it.

In the Northern Hemisphere, the winter solstice is an annual celebration of the longest and darkest night of the year that dates back as early as the fifth century. Solstice marks the start of winter. It is also known as the returning of light. After the shortest day the sun starts to return and slowly but surely with it, the return of warmth and light. Let’s get back in touch with our ancestors and partake in a powerful ritual to focus on the energy of rebirth, transformation, creativity and new beginnings.
